How to shoot in low and challenging light

Part of my work for Marstonís is to photograph their refurbished and new build pubs. Itís always interesting to see the transformations as I photograph the interiors and exteriors. This, however, does present challenges when working in low level light and also with a selection of different light forms (natural light and artificial light such as down lights etc.).

A tripod is essential to produce quality images but capturing action shots of staff and customers means being mobile without hindrance. This requires knowing how to work with ISO settings and flash all whilst encouraging and coercing reluctant models during the lunch time rush!!! You have to know your technical stuff so if in doubt I recommend using a professional photographer.
